From the moment I met Jayann and Eric, I knew that their wedding would be intimate, gorgeous, and have a raging party. And boy do I love being right! Their Andaz Maui wedding was full of so many special moments with their friends and family.
The Andaz is one of my favorite hotels on Maui. When it opened in 2013, my husband and I did a quick staycation to check out the property. It was everything that a luxury hotel in paradise should be. They had great food, clean and modern rooms, and pools a plenty. I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding here so when Jayann and Eric told me that would be their Maui wedding venue, I was over the moon.
Even better, Opihi Love would be designing this wedding. Kristen and her team created something truly unique and spectacular. Using exquisite lighting and real florals, the styling for this event was on point.

Beyond the details that made this incredible, it was really the people I loved so much. I remember part of Jayann’s vows where she said even though she hates flying, she loves how he’ll hold her hand through every flight. I could see Jayann and Eric so clearly through the love they shared for one another and how much their friends and family loved them.
I also want to add that never have I photographed such an epic dance party! Group shots, dad up and dancing, carrying the bride and groom – these guys pulled out all of the stops!
Their Andaz Maui Wedding combined all the class and sass. And, honestly, that is exactly what my ideal client is made of!
