A question I’m asked often is “where should I have my rehearsal dinner in Maui?” It’s a great question and since I’ve had it often enough, I decided I’d write a post about it!
Often times when you think of rehearsal dinner, you think of a sit-down dinner that’s private to welcome your guests to your wedding weekend. But I’m here to tell you that your the best place for a rehearsal dinner in Maui doesn’t have to be a traditional restaurant! Thinking outside of the box can offer a really cool experience not only for you but for also for your guests
BEST PLACES FOR YOUR MAUI REHEARSAL DINNER
Maui Brewing Company
The outdoor area at Maui Brew Company is a great spot to still have access to all of their amazing brews but also a place for you to have a private party! They have lawn games and there’s a stellar view for sunset as well!
Merriman’s Kapalua
One of my favorite places for sunset and cocktails is the bar at the point of Merriman’s Kapalua. They have a permanent tented structure out on the point that allows your guests to have a traditional sitdown dinner and then they can stroll over to the point’s edge to watch the sunset!
The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea
Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Wailea, the Restaurant at Hotel Wailea has several spaces for intimate dinners. The garden area is my absolute favorite!
The Mill House
Nestled into the West Maui Mountains, the Mill House has a little something for everyone. They offer restaurant buyouts as well as smaller, more intimate dinners. The menu is eclectic and the grounds are stunning!

Trilogy Sailing
Who says you have to have a sit-down dinner? What I love about welcome dinners on Trilogy is that your guests are treated to dinner and a show! Meaning the ocean, of course! During whale season (December 15-April 15) guests can enjoy learning about the whales, witnessing them breaching, and of course, that amazing Maui sunset!
Private Luau
If you’re renting a private estate for you and your guests, a private luau may be in order! Manutea Nui E is the absolute best performers and is sure to create a memorable experience for your family and friends!
Traditional Luau
If you have not rented a private estate for your stay, you can always head on over to one of Maui’s many luaus! Again, it’s another great way to entertain your guests. And while it won’t be a private affair, it sure will be a lot of fun! The Old Lahaina Luau is my absolute favorite
