Meet Mike and Charli – the kind of couple that you meet and they instantly melt your heart with their natural chemistry and zest for life. They’re the kind of folks I feel like I’ve known forever and I was so happy that they chose me to be their Maui couples photographer.
When Mike originally contacted me, we had just planned on a normal couple’s shoot – but as we talked more and more it turned from a simple couple’s shoot to a proposal! And if you know me, you know I love a good proposal. I actually own Engaged on Maui – a company that specializes in proposals. But Mike wanted a specific style, so going with Angela Nelson Photography as opposed to Engaged on Maui was the right call for him and his sweetie.
When I asked Mike where he had in mind for his proposal, he wasn’t sure. So he left it up to me, and I knew the perfect spot. It was secluded, dramatic, and I felt it really fit their vibe.
My favorite part of the whole session was that after Mike popped the question, the beach erupted in applause. As much as I love proposals to be intimate and private, I also love it when on-lookers get excited! Actually, that turned out to be my favorite photo of the whole session and it was featured on Fearless Photographers for a shared post!
