Romantic North Shore Maui Engagement Photography | Sara + Geoff
Romantic North Shore Maui Engagement Photography
As soon as Sara confirmed the date for their romantic North Shore Maui engagement photography session, I was counting down the days! North Shore Maui is my favorite place in all of Maui. Surfboard fences, empty beaches, golden light, enough wind to give anyone “Beyonce hair” – as Sara coined (which I’m totally stealing, by the way), and a wild and un-tapped Hawai’i feel. I mean, South Shore is alright if you just want palm trees and lava rock, but there’s something about the North Shore that sets my heart on fire.
Since Sara and Geoff were staying at the Paia Inn, they were totally down to stay on the North shore and go on a little photo adventure with me! Earlier in the day, Sara had her hair and makeup done by the incredibly talented Maui Makeup Artistry. And she looked flawless. She even wore Rent the Runway – my favorite place to get GORGEOUS dresses to wear for engagement sessions!
We began our session at Paia Inn and worked our way to around some gorgeous spots in Paia! After we left the little town, we headed toward Hana where we visited the awesome surfboard fence and were even treated to a rainbow! There are some awesome gems on the road to Hana. The Old Maui high was one of those spots. It gave us some amazing diversity from our ocean and field photos! I really enjoy taking couples different places for every session. I never do the same session twice!
We ended our session on Baldwin Beach – my favorite beach in Maui. The clouds were the color of cotton candy and the wind was definitely working with us!
Sara and Geoff: Thank you for choosing me to be your romantic north shore Maui engagement photographer! I loved taking you to some of my favorite places on the North Shore! Congratulations on your engagement – I can’t wait to follow you on Insta and see your gorgeous wedding photos!
