Within the first 10 minutes of meeting Heather and Brad, I knew I had hit the ideal client jackpot. They were laid back, had an AMAZING sense of humor (as displayed by the groomsmen’s shirts), and, I later learned, were party animals. Basically, this White Orchid Beach House Wedding was a wedding I would relive again and again!
When I left my home upcountry for their wedding, I was a bit concerned. It was sub-70 degrees at my house and dumping rain. My second shooter amber arrived at my house in rainboots and armed with umbrellas. We all expected a rainy day. But as we drove deeper and deeper into Wailea, we realized that this was the ONE place on-island where it wasn’t raining!
Oceanfront Maui Wedding Venue
When Heather arrived on the property, she headed right to the beach to look for shells and other ocean goodies with her bridesmaids. Soon after, the groomsmen showed up and shared a beer before the festivities began.
Heather’s family is from Texas and Brad’s family is from Australia. That made Maui the perfect meeting spot for everyone! And, I’m going to be real. I love Aussie weddings. I’ve done a few now and I can safely say that THEY.ARE.THE.BEST. They know how to laugh, how to party, and how to make everyone feel like family.
So it was Brad’s funny jokes and Heather’s authenticity that won me over. It felt like I had always known them and their wedding seemed like one that I would attend as a guest.
Heather and Brad: What an amazing couple you are! I loved your White Orchid Beach House wedding. From the funny shirts, the epic sunset, and the alcohol-induced dance party – you guys were a blast.
