Annah and Gage’s Camp Firefly wedding at The Homestead in Glen Arbor, Michigan, was pure magic. It was one of those perfect July days with amazing weather and, shockingly, hardly any bugs — which is a big deal for Michigan summers! The whole day was filled with love, laughter, and moments I’ll never forget.
They made such a smart call getting ready right on-site at The Homestead. It kept everything super chill and easy, and it meant everyone could just soak up the morning without rushing around. Annah looked absolutely stunning, and Gage’s excitement was totally contagious. Having everything in one place just made the day flow so smoothly.
A Private First Look at The Homestead
One of my favorite moments? Their first look. They decided to do it at the top of this hill on the property with insane views of Lake Michigan. It was beyond gorgeous. Annah walking up to Gage, the anticipation, and then their reactions — it was all so emotional and sweet. They even used the moment to exchange personal vows, which made it even more special. Honestly, I might’ve teared up a little, too.
The Ceremony at Camp Firefly
After that, we headed straight into the ceremony. The setup for this Camp Firefly wedding at the Homestead was perfect. The steps of the venue gave it this cozy, charming vibe, and the little pond nearby added such a peaceful touch. Guests sat on the other side of the pond, which made the whole thing feel intimate but still open and airy. The ceremony itself was filled with happy tears, lots of laughter, and just so much love. It felt 100% like Annah and Gage.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, it was time for cocktail hour, and wow, it was a blast. They started things off with their first dance, which was just so sweet. Then came the cake cutting — which turned into this super fun, lively moment with everyone laughing and cheering. And the dancing? Let’s just say the party started early and didn’t stop.
Sunset Portraits at Lake Michigan
Of course, I had to pull Annah and Gage away for some portraits down by Lake Michigan. The light during golden hour was absolute perfection. Sure, there were more dead fish on the shore than we’d have liked, but Annah and Gage just rolled with it, cracking jokes and keeping the vibes light. It’s moments like these that show what an awesome couple they are. And honestly, Lake Michigan sunsets are something else — those beach shots turned out amazing.
We headed back to the reception after that, and the party was in full swing. The dance floor was packed, the energy was incredible, and everyone was having the best time. One highlight for me was grabbing a cool cigar shot with Gage, his groomsmen, and their crew. It was such a laid-back, fun moment that really captured the vibe of the night.
